India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Indian Postal department released notification for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) posts. Eligible candidates can apply through official website indiapostgdsonline.gov.in from 03 August 2023 to 23 August 2023. See below about educational qualification, age limit, application fee.
India Post GDS Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must pass 10th class or SSC from recognised university in India. Mathematics, English and local language should have studied up to secondary standard.
- Knowledge of computer
- Knowledge of cycling
- Adequate means of livelihood
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
Age will be determined as on the last date of submission of applications
Age Relaxation
Applicants, who wish to be considered for reserved vacancies or seek age relaxation, will have
to submit the requisite certificate from the competent authority in the prescribed format. Relaxation for upper age limit in postal gramin dak sevak (GDS) as fallows.

India Post GDS 2023 Application Fee
All candidates pay application fee at the time of registration through official website only. Application fee for Indian Post GDS is 100/- rupees. However, payment of fee is exempted for all female applicants, SC /ST applicants, PwD applicants and Transwomen applicants.

India Post GDS 2023 Salary
Emoluments in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) plus Dearness Allowance thereon are paid to the GDS. The applicable TRCA to different categories are as under.
- Branch Postmaster (BPM) – Rs.12,000-29,380
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) / Dak Sevak – Rs.10,000-24,470
