BEL Havildar Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates’ age should be 43 years or below. In the case of OBC (Non-Creamy layer) candidates, 3 years of age relaxation is given.
Educational Qualification: SSLC + 15 years of service in Armed Forces
- Candidates must be Indian citizen.
- Only Ex-servicemen are eligible for these posts. Applicant should have SSLC passed and fifteen years of service in Indian Armed Forces.
- Registration at Tamil Nadu District Sainik Welfare Board is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Tamil is essential.
How to Apply for BEL Havildar 2024
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can download the physical application form from BEL’s official website. Duly fill out the application form and enclose the self-attested photocopies of the required documents.
- Recent color passport size photograph
- SSLC marks card and any other valid document as proof of date of birth.
- Candidates belonging to OBC need to submit their certificate.
- Candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) category are required to submit the Community Certificate.
- No Objection Certificate from your present employer.
- Experience Certificate, Discharge certificate, Discharge book issued by the Indian Armed Forces/Concerned Authority clearly indicating the medical category-Shape-I, date of discharge and exemplary / very good records – SHAPE-I.
- Candidates presently employed in the Armed Forces and yet to be discharged need to submit documentary proof in support of their Medical Category, Character and probable date of discharge.
- Document of Registration and number from the Tamil Nadu District Sainik Welfare Board.
The envelope containing the application with relevant documents should be superscribed as ‘Application for the post of Havildar Security – BEL Vellore Facility’.

BEL Havildar Selection Procedure
Candidates who meet eligibility criteria are short-listed for the selection procedure. Physical Endurance tests will be conducted for shortlisted candidates. The candidates who qualified for the Physical Test were shortlisted for the written test. The physical endurance test and written test will be held in Bangalore.
