Chandigarh JBT Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates age should be between 21 to 37 years as on 01-01-2024.
- Lower Age limit – 21 years
- Upper Age limit – 37 years as on 01-01-2024.
Age Relaxation
Relaxation to SC/OBC/ESM/PwBD and other category candidates will be given as per the instructions issued by Govt. of India/Chandigarh Administration.
Under OBC category, candidates of those castes will be given benefits which are included in Union Territory, Chandigarh list.
Educational Qualifications
The candidate should possess the essential qualification as on the Closing date of submission of application.
- Graduate or its equivalent from a recognised University and
- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.ELEd.) (by whatever name known) of not less than 02 years duration recognised by NCTE.
- Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted in accordance with the Guidelines framed by NCTE.

Candidates should pay application fee through official website www.chdeducation.gov.in. Last date to deposit the application fee is 22-02-2024 up to 02:00 PM.

How to Apply online for Chandigarh JBT Recruitment 2024
- Applicants first visit the official website chdeducation.gov.in.
- Click on the “Recruitments” tab in menu bar.
- In the Recruitments page click on “Click Here–> For any notices regarding recruitment of JBT” link.
- After opening the page click on “For apply online for the post of JBTs” link application form will open.
- At the end of the page click on “Registration for – Junior Basic Teachers (JBTs)” link and register with your email id and phone number and Aadhar Number.
- Fill application for with required details and pay application fee.
- After successful submission of application take a print out for future reference.
Selection Procedure
One objective type tests of 150 Marks will be conducted. Qualifying marks for test will be 40% for all candidates. No interview will be conducted.
